MW is proud to announce that artist Adam Chester will be performing with Elton John's band and major artists for the “Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A Grammy Salute," from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 8 p.m. ET. The program will air April 10 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
During the performance, Chester will be playing the piano with Elton John's band and other major guest artists Sam Smith, John Legend, Miley Cyrus, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Chris Martin, Maren Morris, Little Big Town and Kesha. Chester will also be singing backgrounds, conducting a choir and a string quartet during the performance while Elton John enjoys the tribute concert from the audience.
“We’ve been rehearsing that for two weeks and I’m playing piano in the band because Elton will be in the audience. So that’s a first. My head is spinning, but it’s all good, though,” Chester said in a recent interview with the Miami Herald.
“This is the kid from Miami Beach High with all the Elton John posters all over his wall,” Chester added. “This is my dream come true.”
"Elton John: I'm Still Standing-A GRAMMY Salute" continues the tradition of previous Emmy®-winning TV specials presented by the Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures, and CBS: "Sinatra 100—An All-Star GRAMMY Concert." "Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life—An All-Star GRAMMY Salute," and "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America—A GRAMMY Salute."
Chester has been in New York the past several days rehearsing Elton John's band for Elton's Grammy performance with Miley Cyrus airing live Sunday, Jan. 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT on CBS.
Adam Chester is available for booking live performances at corporate & private events and wineries through MW Music & Wine.
