Jessica Wilde’s sound is a clash of soulful chic and South London zest. The Brixtonian takes classic soul style and blends it with street savvy defiance. This creative fusion reflects her multicultural upbringing; brought up on her St Helenian mother’s obsession with soul, Jessica doused it with hip hop leanings and set it alight.
Jessica has established her credentials as a singer song-writer, having worked with luminaries from Ghetts to Tough Love. Her co-write with Rudimental, ‘More Than Anything’ featured vocals from Emilie Sande and made their album.
From braiding hair on Venice Beach, to high speed car crashes in Hollywood, the Jessica Wilde path to success couldn’t be more aligned to her name.
A session at Ne-Yo’s Hollywood studio, with producer Kizzo (Ne-Yo, Afrojack) was a defining moment for Jessica – not only because she survived a bizarre, high speed LA crash moments before the recording began, but because her own project was borne and the basis of her upcoming singles took form. Three months in Los Angeles, and several purposefully missed flights later, Jessica returned to London, ready to showcase herself and her music to the world.
Look for her on Live Nation stages through Summer 2019, with her album release in September.
